Troy Kennedy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Bartlomiej Nieuzyla made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Eugeniusz Jaruzelski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Eugeniusz Hodyl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astra Zduny's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugeniusz Hodyl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Siekierka notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Czeslaw Siekierka went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Astra Zduny's zone, Stanley Wallace stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartlomiej Nieuzyla came out of the goal and Stanley Wallace tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Hodyl, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Adam Iwanowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Barrett having to make a save. When Czeslaw Siekierka came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Astra Zduny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Czeslaw Siekierka couldn't finish the play. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Hodyl in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugeniusz Hodyl to make the kick off. Bartlomiej Nieuzyla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanley Wallace, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Eugeniusz Hodyl sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Marshall Graham hit a great ball. If Eugeniusz Hodyl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Curacao's corner Kyle Davies fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bartlomiej Nieuzyla quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Adam Iwanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lochlan Newman during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Astra Zduny booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lochlan Newman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugeniusz Hodyl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Stanley Wallace cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Bartlomiej Nieuzyla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Astra Zduny's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
