Di Röe's attentive Sten Melberg managed to snatch the ball when Axel Montenegro made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Luis Cazalla made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pascual Carballar. After 17 minutes of play, Di Röe's Sten Melberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute. George Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 22nd minute of the match. Sten Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. With a little luck, Di Röe's George Kristiansson got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Bengt-Rune Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Rune Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. George Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Di Röe's Knut Engström was substituted for Elliot Kellbom. In the 68th minute, Arnaldo da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 71st minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaldo da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Mastache took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 92nd minute, Ignacio Mastache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Gerard Tan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerard Tan really showed his touch with that goal: 4-5. The Colombia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Di Röe's performance. The match ended with a win for Di Röe.
