When The Maquis's Pieter Wilhelm in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walther Jano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Walregt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, The Maquis's Zhuo Feng Lei got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter Wilhelm in the 19th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walther Jano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Niels Rooy made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Bont, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dante Lacasa had great luck who in the 28thth minute grab hold of the ball when Carsten Bont from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter Wilhelm in the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, The Maquis's Marco Walregt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced The Maquis's goalkeeper Walther Jano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walther Jano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Walther Jano came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pieter Wilhelm to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Walregt in the 51st minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. The Maquis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Oliver Smit tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Walther Jano. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-3 in the 59th minute. With a little luck, The Maquis's Walther Jano got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Pieter Wilhelm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Walther Jano in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walther Jano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. The Maquis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Walther Jano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of play. Walther Jano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walther Jano. Walther Jano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Mexico played a much better game than The Maquis and deserved their victory. The The Maquis players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
