This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sofoklis Prinianakis as he didn't even see the shot coming. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Kristian Ottaway made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 52nd minute of play forced Henley on Thames United's goalkeeper Sofoklis Prinianakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henley on Thames United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Mitch Creighton's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mitch Creighton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Mexico. Joel Gaona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sofoklis Prinianakis. 4-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Houghton in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Carl Houghton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofoklis Prinianakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Henley on Thames United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beinn Speight to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Sofoklis Prinianakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sofoklis Prinianakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
