Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ambrosio Lonzo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Manos Manteca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Discípulos de Ayn Rand from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Manos Manteca in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Lonzo in the 11th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Poncio. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambrosio Lonzo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Muc Abeita got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Manos Manteca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Manos Manteca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Geleberto in the 29th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Lonzo in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Gudesteo Abaunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Lonzo. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Discípulos de Ayn Rand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gudesteo Abaunza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Lonzo in the 40th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manos Manteca. Manos Manteca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Lonzo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Leonardo Poncio charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Poncio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Poncio. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Discípulos de Ayn Rand's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manos Manteca quite easily take care of the ball. Leonardo Poncio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Argi Aballe was substituted for Gudesteo Abaunza. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manos Manteca saved Discípulos de Ayn Rand from getting behind. In the 74th match minute, Discípulos de Ayn Rand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Geleberto to maneuver through the defense. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Octavio Geleberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Denis Abello was substituted for Ambrosio Lonzo. Denis Abello came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Abello came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Geleberto in the 91st minute of play. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita.
