In the 23rd minute, Marek Oláh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Marek Oláh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otomar Plíva in the 43rd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Alfons Öberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Öberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Michal Hoskovec got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half SK Slavoj Vyšehrad were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otomar Plíva in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Otomar Plíva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacobo Nores. The goal made the score 0-5. With splendid footwork Otomar Plíva arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-6 by the left pole in the game's 61st minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otomar Plíva in the 64th minute of play. If Jiří Bobek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfons Öberg charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfons Öberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th match minute, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Öberg to maneuver through the defense. Otomar Plíva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Otomar Plíva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
