The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Oliver Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Kuno Friedrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of the match. Kuno Friedrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfred Åman charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Åman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Åman kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuno Friedrich having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute. The supporters of Gräskungarnas FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugen Barbăroșie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kuno Friedrich made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kuno Friedrich was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 64th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Jonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kuno Friedrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Felix Montenegro scored 0-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kuno Friedrich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Kuno Friedrich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Kuno Friedrich made a huge save. In the 83rd minute Eugen Barbăroșie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gräskungarnas FF's Kuno Friedrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 84th minute of play. Gräskungarnas FF's Kuno Friedrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Gräskungarnas FF from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Barbăroșie in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Barbăroșie in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Barbăroșie, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gräskungarnas FF throughout the match.
