Thanks to some nice moves Hector Covarrubias could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Narcis Popoiu however easily saved by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Chirea made a kick off. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Tirulescu in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Narcis Popoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Popoiu having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Primitivo Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narcis Popoiu. Club Vertigo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primitivo Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 84th minute, Juan Diego Tenorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Tirulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Popoiu saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Pompiliu Marchiș got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Popoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Paraguay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
