Edgar Stenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Hedin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Simon Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Stenberg in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Simon Larsson. Jesus Lärjungar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Edgar Stenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Stenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Jesus Lärjungar played a much better game than El Salvador and deserved their victory. The El Salvador players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
