Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's Sébastien Hodges. But to his dismay, Sébastien Hodges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919 defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arden Ryder. The FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arden Ryder should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Andy Olson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Bush in the 19th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sébastien Hodges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Sébastien Hodges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 谢皓亮 took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clark Lamontagne in the 31st minute of play. Erwin Bush took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 36th minute, Clark Lamontagne made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sébastien Hodges in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Erwin Bush made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. After 46 played minutes FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919 got a freekick which was hit by Dewey Poe. With a little luck, FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's Arden Ryder got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arden Ryder came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919 were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Bush to make the kick off. 谢皓亮 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Arden Ryder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arden Ryder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arden Ryder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Erwin Bush reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-9. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Clark Lamontagne sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 谢皓亮, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Clark Lamontagne sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sébastien Hodges in the 83rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's Arden Ryder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sébastien Hodges, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Sébastien Hodges capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sébastien Hodges really showed his touch with that goal: 1-10. The audience thought a goal was coming when 谢皓亮 got free with Benito Sanz in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded FCUniversitatea Cluj 1919 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
