Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Dănuț Roman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dănuț Roman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Dănuț Roman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 28th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Aaron Alcocer managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Virgil Mincu got a free kick in the 31st minute. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 32nd minute of play. Dănuț Roman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Dănuț Roman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. After 40 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the -BZF- Valea Buzăului players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dănuț Roman in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 58 minutes, Dănuț Roman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dănuț Roman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iona Tudora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Mincu in the 65th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ana Ţugui went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Dănuț Roman notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 74 minutes into the game, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Dănuț Roman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 81st minute, Gelu Jumancă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Virgil Mincu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Teodor Finteșteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Macaneață. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Virgil Mincu managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Mincu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Ana Ţugui took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. -BZF- Valea Buzăului walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
