The corner led Forever Young's Cahya Pandiangan to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cahya Pandiangan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cahya Pandiangan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cahya Pandiangan in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Forever Young got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cahya Pandiangan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Forever Young's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Mero came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Zheng Rong came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced Forever Young's goalkeeper Diego Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Genta Hamzah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Forever Young's Şenel İslamoğlu got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Forever Young's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Mero came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Forever Young was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şenel İslamoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Diego Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Zheng Rong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Genta Hamzah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forever Young's supporters rose to their feet, but Genta Hamzah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Husni Silaban during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Husni Silaban hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of play forced Forever Young's goalkeeper Diego Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zheng Rong in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Forever Young's Ferdinand Cenușă was substituted for Boy Bayauw. Forever Young's Willy Rais was substituted for Cahya Pandiangan. In the 69th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Diego Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Forever Young booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Forever Young could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
