In the 3rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. DS Milan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emilio Posada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DS Milan's Emilio Posada did a great save. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Tony Carlisle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, DS Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Emilio Posada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emilio Posada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, DS Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Emilio Posada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 彭翔德 took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 彭翔德 in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when 彭翔德 came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play forced DS Milan's goalkeeper Emilio Posada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Groom, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Sidney Groom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to DS Milan getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Túlio Rezende hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tony Carlisle during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Tony Carlisle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Posada having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, DS Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for DS Milan. Joel Gaona's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Emilio Posada - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 55th minute. Facundo Cadaval who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Emilio Posada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 彭翔德, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, DS Milan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Groom came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in DS Milan's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Posada came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Emilio Posada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emilio Posada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joakim Siggesson during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, DS Milan's Joakim Siggesson got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Posada. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Lautaro Mancebo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Emilio Posada skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Emilio Posada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Posada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
