In the 11thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alo Ülipikk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Grimório was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Värnik to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alo Ülipikk in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 41st match minute, Grimório was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alo Ülipikk to maneuver through the defense. Grimório's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kajar Püss to strike the kick off in the second half. When Kusti Jaas fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grimório's protests and gave Kusti Jaas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grimório's Kusti Jaas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Wawrzyniec Niedziela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wawrzyniec Niedziela was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Grimório fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
