Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in StraX Xenon FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Olofsson came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Torbjörn Brummer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 27th minute Jakob Palmkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Hellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sebastián Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. The long shot by Pelle Smedfeldt in the 36th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mattias Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Brummer got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, StraX Xenon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Mattias Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson did a great save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakob Palmkvist in the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when StraX Xenon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Torbjörn Brummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mattias Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Hellqvist in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torbjörn Brummer's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mattias Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. StraX Xenon FC made a substitution. Tomas Asserlindh replaced Jonas Hellqvist. In the 89thth minute of the game Jakob Palmkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Asserlindh came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. StraX Xenon FC's Tomas Asserlindh got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing StraX Xenon FC to leave the ground with a draw.
