Bogdan Kondysar made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Michal Werra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC KALETY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Capella Verde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Bogdan Kondysar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Šmídek in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC KALETY's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Kondysar came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC KALETY getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ulryk Budrewicz hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Jan Šmídek made the kick off in the second half. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Andrzejewski in the 52nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Šmídek went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bogdan Kondysar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
