Väino Kartul made a great header on Grimório's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 54th minute of play forced Grimório's goalkeeper Uudo Lant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes Grimório's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Uudo Lant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erkki Leesment came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uudo Lant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 67th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Grimório's Uudo Lant managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Holm got free with Julio Vera in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th match minute, Grimório was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Väino Kartul to maneuver through the defense. Uudo Lant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute of play. Väino Kartul kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Emanuel Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Uudo Lant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Grimório's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Erkki Leesment, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
