The supporters of Ecuador booed when TAXI-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Ipar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Alexa having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacek Krzynowek got free with Julio Vera in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Ipar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, TAXI-MM-'s Bernardino Ipar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced TAXI-MM-'s goalkeeper Martin Alexa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Alexa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 42 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Cristescu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Alexa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Felix Montenegros short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Martin Alexa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Martin Alexa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jacek Krzynowek hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Alexa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aabel Aibast's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martin Alexa. Martin Alexa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Krzynowek in the 76th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Martin Alexa made a huge save. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Martin Alexa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 84 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacek Krzynowek who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Alexa having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardino Ipar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuan Di Xing in the 93rd minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
