An unexpectedly hard shot by Naw Kean in the 28th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Muhammed Salah. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luca Önel. In the 39th minute Emanuel Ersman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naw Kean in the 50th minute of play. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Luca Önel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luca Önel, 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Emanuel Ersman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Ersman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 66 minutes of play, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Naw Kean made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luca Önel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Antonio Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhammed Salah in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Luca Önel managed to reach the ball for a save.
