In the 12th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 张旭傲 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Yavuz Selim Gulson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the sword of Damocles's 巩天帆 in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 张旭傲 came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 张旭傲 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through the sword of Damocles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 张旭傲. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 张旭傲 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute of the match the sword of Damocles got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jeff Loomis ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which 吴广升 managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 巩天帆 made a kick off. The supporters of the sword of Damocles booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 巩天帆 in the 51st minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 巩天帆 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. the sword of Damocles's Aras Görkem Çelikel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Primitivo Andino in the 57 minute of the game. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 巩天帆 in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, the sword of Damocles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rıza Çalımbay to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Selim Gulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Selim Gulson in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, the sword of Damocles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Loomis to maneuver through the defense. If 巩天帆 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's 张旭傲 threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selim Gulson in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, the sword of Damocles's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but 张旭傲 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Selim Gulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yavuz Selim Gulson went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 汪霆邦 in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 汪霆邦 in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita scored 1-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 张旭傲, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selim Gulson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador played a much better game than the sword of Damocles and deserved their victory. The the sword of Damocles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
