Ahmet Sedat Sefa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Joaquin Prats quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marcelo Martínez, made in the 14th minute of the game. Marcelo Martínez made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erdem Elçin. Ahmet Sedat Sefa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Sedat Sefa having to interfere. Ahmet Sedat Sefa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erdem Elçin in the 32nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Salgados short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tor Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Ahmet Sedat Sefa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tor Salgado made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Sedat Sefa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 52nd minute. Ahmet Sedat Sefa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bendensin SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Sedat Sefa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tor Salgado scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bendensin SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Sedat Sefa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Tor Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Bendensin SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Milagros Fraga made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Bendensin SK's Ahmet Sedat Sefa managed to reach the ball for a save. 71 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tor Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
