Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ştefan Coșereanu started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VIP's Dumitru Berca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Ţugui in the 8th minute of play. VIP's Dumitru Berca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Ţugui came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dumitru Berca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ştefan Coșereanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. In the 33rd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Cazalla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Sebastian Ţugui got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Alberto Tafalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 57 minutes into the match, VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After having played for 58 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumitru Berca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. With his leg Dumitru Berca managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobri Karapetrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ilie Buhuș was slow to take the kick. During this time VIP's players had a chance to rest. VIP's Ilie Buhuș was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 96 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. VIP had won after a very even match.
