Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Domina in the 6th minute of the match. Jorge Olmos struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martesana Inter. Emilio Spada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Spada. Martesana Inter's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Julio Vera was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Antonio Pinti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Pinti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Domina in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Martesana Inter's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armando Toninelli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Toninelli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Toninelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Antonio Pinti took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Martesana Inter getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Armando Toninelli hit a great ball. With 41 minutes on the clock, Donato Lobo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Martesana Inter's Fabio Domina got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martesana Inter made a substitution. Biagio Mandara replaced Jorge Olmos. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Domina to make the kick off. With his leg Emilio Spada managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Martesana Inter's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Emilio Spada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Martesana Inter's Fabio Domina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Martesana Inter getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fabio Domina hit a great ball. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Spada. Emilio Spada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Emilio Spada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Fabio Domina notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Martesana Inter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Palombi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Martesana Inter's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Spada came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fabio Domina came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Martesana Inter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Domina couldn't finish the play. With his leg Emilio Spada managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 94 played minutes Martesana Inter got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Altobelli.
