Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ilie Buhuș who took care of the corner kick. Dumitru Berca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after VIP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Dumitru Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that VIP's Dumitru Berca managed to reach the ball for a save. Ştefan Coșereanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ştefan Coșereanu sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 38th match minute, VIP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Cerchez to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes, Ionuț Cerchez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VIP and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Ionuț Cerchez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Cristian Sancho. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ştefan Coșereanu made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Dumitru Berca in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Berca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Sebastian Ţugui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Diego Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Dumitru Podgoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Ţugui in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the VIP defense, Diego Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dumitru Berca. The VIP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Berca should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Coșereanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Diego Mancebo rounded VIP's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2.
