Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santa Tecla having to interfere. Arthur Shelby made in the 13th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Michael Corleone however managed to control. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dean Floyd in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Shelby in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Michael Corleone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santa Tecla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Shelby in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Floyd in the 32nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Joan Laporte made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to FC St. Pauli Andorra getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arthur Shelby hit a great ball. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 49th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC St. Pauli Andorra booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. When Michael Corleone came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FC St. Pauli Andorra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Corleone couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, FC St. Pauli Andorra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graham McCormick to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Dean Floyd got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-4. After 89 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. FC St. Pauli Andorra's Michael Corleone got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Wise, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC St. Pauli Andorra's Joan Laporte got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Dean Floyd dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 0-5. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC St. Pauli Andorra were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
