The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Mustață got free with Dino Zoff in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 3rd minute Sol Crowther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Zoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Pacurar in the 4th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Dino Zoff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff got control of the ball when Florin Cumpan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, AFC Prunis MM's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Boldur came free, but Apa Panter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AFC Prunis MM getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sol Crowther hit a great ball. Dino Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Cumpan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Cumpan in the 17th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Florin Cumpan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dino Zoff. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sol Crowther in the 22nd minute of play forced Cormoranii -MM-'s goalkeeper Dino Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Răzvan Mustață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, AFC Prunis MM's Florin Cumpan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Zoff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florin Cumpans short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Dino Zoff to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 33 minutes in the game, Florin Cumpan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Florin Cumpan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Dino Zoff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, AFC Prunis MM's George Elenescu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes Cormoranii -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Vulpe. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Cumpan to strike the kick off in the second half. Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Mustață in the 51st minute of play. In the 59th minute Florin Cumpan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Cormoranii -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Sol Crowther came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cormoranii -MM- booed when AFC Prunis MM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Fundătoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
