SIGHET -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Manu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelian Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Bădescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cristi Eftimescu scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stelian Platon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristi Eftimescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stelian Platon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristi Eftimescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Stelian Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Zgîrţa in the 42nd minute of play. Cristi Eftimescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Stelian Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dumitru Aldulescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Dumitru Aldulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Marchiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.I.L. SIGHET -MM- defense, Claudiu Bădescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelian Platon. The C.I.L. SIGHET -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelian Platon should have stopped the shot. Viorel Zgîrţa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelian Platon having to interfere. Stelian Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Eftimescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costel Marghescu charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Marghescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to minerul -MM- getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Costel Marghescu hit a great ball. Remus Marchiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Aldulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. minerul -MM-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
