After a rather tough play, Steaua Somcuta MM's Leontin Zdrehuş got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Dragalina in the 9th minute of play forced Steaua Somcuta MM's goalkeeper Matei Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gheorghe Şerbănoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Gheorghe Şerbănoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Mugurel Botescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Dragalina in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Rotariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Narcis Dragalina put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Matei Rotariu. In the 30th minute, Gheorghe Şerbănoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Simared -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Muraru in the 35th minute of play forced Steaua Somcuta MM's goalkeeper Matei Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Ovidiu Muraru notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Steaua Somcuta MM's Matei Rotariu. Matei Rotariu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dacian Săvulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ernest Cazimir made a huge save. Steaua Somcuta MM's Matei Rotariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Dragalina in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 53rd minute of the match Simared -MM- got a corner. Steaua Somcuta MM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olimpiu Breazu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dacian Săvulescu, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Tiberiu Huștea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Narcis Dragalina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Simared -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 65th match minute, Simared -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Chirea to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Panait Unciuleanu sped through Simared -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernest Cazimir. In the 70th minute, Narcis Dragalina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Simared -MM-'s Narcis Dragalina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. With a little luck, Steaua Somcuta MM's Matei Rotariu got control of the ball when Narcis Dragalina tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute Ovidiu Muraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matei Rotariu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcis Dragalina went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Simared -MM- made a substitution. Dumitru Miron replaced Tiberiu Huștea. Matei Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Dragalina in the 89th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Simared -MM-'s Matei Rotariu threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gheorghe Şerbănoiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 92 minutes into the match, Steaua Somcuta MM's goalkeeper Matei Rotariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Miron. When the match was over Simared -MM- could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Steaua Somcuta MM throughout the match.
