The coaching staff of VERDOLAGA CITY FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chap Cobo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Aloisio Munet came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloisio Munet couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Lugo Manes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Davalos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-5. Lugo Manes's late challenge caught a VERDOLAGA CITY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lugo Manes helped the player get up and apologised. Lugo Manes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leones FC's zone, Rocio Camerin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taurino Caraballo came out of the goal and Rocio Camerin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VERDOLAGA CITY FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
