Eskild Sneftrup might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grzegorz Siekierski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eskild Sneftrup ran back to his position shaking his head. Videl Mauriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Gadea in the 12th minute of play. Grzegorz Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskild Sneftrup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, GeRaÇãO-83's Videl Mauriz threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Medero Gadea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Videl Mauriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes GeRaÇãO-83 got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Xiang Sheng. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Achraf Hakimi scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grzegorz Siekierski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Videl Mauriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edin Džeko. Videl Mauriz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edin Džeko in the 39th minute. The GeRaÇãO-83 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MILLONARIOS FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Medero Gadea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jiang Xiang Sheng hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jiang Xiang Sheng made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luiz Fabiano Duarte. 59 minutes into the game, Edin Džeko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Videl Mauriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to MILLONARIOS FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Xalvador Olmos hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xalvador Olmos to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud van Nistelrooij came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Videl Mauriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Gadea in the 73rd minute of play. Videl Mauriz came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko. But to his dismay, Edin Džeko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 86th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Videl Mauriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Achraf Hakimi.
