Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Skytt in the 23rd minute of play. When Renato Tapia fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Club Celta de Vigo's protests and gave Renato Tapia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LVCVS AVGVSTI booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Tapia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Ferman Torres got a free kick in the 28th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for C.J. La Marca to strike the kick off in the second half.
