With an all-out effort, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Leontin Omescu threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emil Wielopolski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Wenderickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Torouţ in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Di Piazza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy Wenderickx in the 20th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Zhao Sen Yang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leontin Omescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leontin Omescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leontin Omescu saved PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- from getting behind. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olov Ahlbeck in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Petre Iftode hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zhao Sen Yang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Torouţ in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Zhao Sen Yang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 41st minute, Zhao Sen Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leontin Omescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Dopacio in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Leontin Omescu. Leontin Omescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, İlhami Akyazıcı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami Akyazıcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leontin Omescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- defense, Zhao Sen Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leontin Omescu. The PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leontin Omescu should have stopped the shot. If İlhami Akyazıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele was substituted for İlhami Akyazıcı. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Torouţ in the 66th minute of play. Jeremy Wenderickx came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivan Chiuzbaian could save by the left post. In the 73rdth minute of the game Petre Iftode who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Leontin Omescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Leontin Omescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, 庄峰勇 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Chiuzbaian. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 庄峰勇 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 83 minutes into the match, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Tudoran came free, but Leontin Omescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Di Piazza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Jeremy Wenderickx sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian didn't even have to move. Ivan Chiuzbaian was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Traian Torouţ capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Traian Torouţ really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-.
