Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Siggman in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Maramures-MM-'s Mateusz Wojtowicz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mateusz Wojtowicz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Maramures-MM- protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mateusz Wojtowicz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mădălin Cangeopol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciprian Tătăruşanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Maramures-MM-'s goalkeeper Ciprian Tătăruşanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mădălin Cangeopol.
