With an all-out effort, Honduras's Zdzislaw Maziarz threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th minute of the match, Edmundo Espiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zdzislaw Maziarz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 39 played minutes Baboszewo got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Dranka. Leonard Kaczanka hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Edward Wawrukiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofil Sokol got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Izydor Redisz. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Leonard Kaczanka's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 65th minute of the match Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zdzislaw Maziarz skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 79 in the game by Edward Wawrukiewicz from a close distance when the talented Lautaro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Honduras's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Baboszewo's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdzislaw Maziarz came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zdzislaw Maziarz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beniamin Domeradzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Baboszewo's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Tafalla came free, but Zdzislaw Maziarz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Baboszewo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
