In the 14th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Dulemba. Türk Polis Gücü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Türk Polis Gücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Dos Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Peru booed when Türk Polis Gücü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Altan Erben didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Türk Polis Gücü getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Delfino Santirso hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Zaid Cevahir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Zaid Cevahir came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Alonso Berganza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
