Edward Wawrukiewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 8th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zdzislaw Maziarz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdzislaw Maziarz having to interfere. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Baboszewo's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Zdzislaw Maziarz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zdzislaw Maziarz was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Edward Wawrukiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Wawrukiewicz in the 32nd minute of play. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Baboszewo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximiliano Escribano in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zdzislaw Maziarz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zdzislaw Maziarz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zdzislaw Maziarz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Zdzislaw Maziarz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Baboszewo's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdzislaw Maziarz came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Zdzislaw Maziarz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonard Kaczanka in the 72 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Beldad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zdzislaw Maziarz. That made the score 1-4 in the 73 minute of play. Zdzislaw Maziarz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Wawrukiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Zdzislaw Maziarz in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a Baboszewo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdzislaw Maziarz having to interfere. When the match was over Uruguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Baboszewo throughout the match.
