The audience was convinced that Komen Schotte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Komen Schotte's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of USA booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macky Fahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Parker in the 16th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boomer Fc's Gumersindo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Boomer Fc from getting a goal against them. Gumersindo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 20th minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Parker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Brown kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Komen Schotte in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gumersindo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Boniel in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bebeto Gaúcho who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Komen Schotte almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. In the 67th minute, Fabian Brown hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Boomer Fc made a substitution. Xinto Torres went to the cornerflag to take it. Richard Parker made a great header on Boomer Fc's corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. If Marco Boniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Boniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Boomer Fc's Don Domingo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Rudy Neefs's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudy Neefs helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of USA booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Neefs didn't get a good kick on the ball. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Chants of Boomer Fc echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as USA had held the ball for most of the match.
