With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Krzysztof Nakonieczny tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PatiCarRent's Pawel Wodaszak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes PatiCarRent's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PatiCarRent's Pawel Wodaszak did a great save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute. Krzysztof Nakonieczny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pawel Wodaszak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Pawel Wodaszak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, PatiCarRent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bülent Rezzak to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Krzysztof Nakonieczny sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 44th minute. Camilo Gisbert lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Bülent Rezzak:s penalty.

In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zbyszek Bakes hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Pawel Wodaszak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PatiCarRent's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when PatiCarRent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszek Bakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Pawel Wodaszak - 0-3 was put on the score board in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Szczepan Szarmach came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than PatiCarRent and deserved their victory. The PatiCarRent players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
