The supporters of Paraguay booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Văleanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Ionașcu to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Narcis Popoiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Pardo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Daniel Chirea threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hector Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Club Vertigo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Covarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tudor Ionașcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Popoiu saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. Narcis Popoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 37th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Jaime Pardo put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Narcis Popoiu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Costică Dindelegan hit a great ball. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paraguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcel Văleanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Vertigo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Club Vertigo's Tudor Ionașcu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Narcis Popoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Popoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Paraguay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
