Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Eder Saavedra. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Arraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Kolompár didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Oblak skillfully saved the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by UNITED's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Oblak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jan Oblak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Jan Oblak came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Kolompár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cresitobalo Cortes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cresitobalo Cortes in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, UNITED's Graciano Teruel got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Cresitobalo Cortes made the kick off in the second half. UNITED's Jan Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Oblak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Sebastián Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Jan Oblak in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan Oblak made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind UNITED's goalkeeper Jan Oblak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Oblak having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jan Oblak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graciano Teruel during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Graciano Teruel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Eder Saavedra kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cresitobalo Cortes in the 95th minute of play. UNITED's Jan Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save UNITED from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after UNITED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. 99 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jan Oblak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
