It was a well-played corner which Bradley Barrett managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Baron Buffon could save by the left post. In the 27th minute, Rien Oss ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rien Oss in the 35th minute of the match. Bradley Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Rien Oss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rien Oss's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a freekick which was hit by Truylos Barbari.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Los Muñes de Don Cuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Dei to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baron Buffon was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the game, Rien Oss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Los Muñes de Don Cuco made a substitution. Ramon Pero replaced Rien Oss. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Los Muñes de Don Cuco getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alex Doe hit a great ball. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Segundo Gervaso was substituted for Bradley Barrett. Los Muñes de Don Cuco made a substitution. Aureliano Cordeiro replaced Guaberto Jacindo. Alex Doe hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Baron Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montes in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aureliano Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Muñes de Don Cuco's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Truylos Barbari got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baron Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Segundo Gervaso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Ramon Pero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chants of Los Muñes de Don Cuco echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
