In the 42nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Cazalla during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Miromir Majerowicz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Majerowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beniamin Sakowicz. Beniamin Sakowicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 67th minute of play forced GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW's goalkeeper Beniamin Sakowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Beniamin Sakowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Leszek Danisiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Leszek Danisiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Beniamin Sakowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico.
