Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Bacha's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Abrantes came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when F.C.Bacha's Balendín Rubio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play forced F.C.Bacha's goalkeeper Vicente Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Abrantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Palmiro Colaço got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vicente Abrantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Santos Guillelme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Potes's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Potes helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes F.C.Bacha got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Potes. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.C.Bacha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Guillelme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Santos Guillelme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Guillelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of F.C.Bacha booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Guillelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Balendín Rubio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the F.C.Bacha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balendín Rubio couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Abrantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmiro Colaço sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C.Bacha's Gaitano Porras was substituted for Luiz Eduardo Vaz.
