Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Reha Öztek got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alaybey Spor's Tamer Kutcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Artaç İpekçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tamer Kutcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamer Kutcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes Alaybey Spor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tamer Kutcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 74th minute Denizhan Toktamış shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when Alaybey Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denizhan Toktamış didn't get a good kick on the ball.
