In the 19thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by João Pirani got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
