Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barnaba Poremba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dariusz Dziuma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Dariusz Dziuma slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, La Magica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Quesada to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Wawrzyniec Parajewski came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Magica's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barnaba Poremba came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Quesada hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Panama booed when La Magica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Dziuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Magica! If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Magica's Barnaba Poremba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 35th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dariusz Dziuma went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barnaba Poremba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 44th minute. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, La Magica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahir Biçimli to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaba Poremba having to interfere. A collision led to La Magica getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Anselmo Quesada hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes La Magica got a freekick which was hit by Borys Karwowski. The supporters of Panama booed when La Magica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borys Karwowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Tomas Berganza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Barnaba Poremba. That made the score 2-1 after 59 minutes of play. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barnaba Poremba came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mahir Biçimli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil got in the 80th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Barnaba Poremba. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-3. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes La Magica got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Parajewski. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Przemyslaw Woźniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Sarmiento got free with Barnaba Poremba in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
