Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Aceves in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Alcorcón A.D.A's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dida Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xepe Llorca hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Alcorcón A.D.A's Dida Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play. Dida Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rd minute, Unai Roca made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alcorcón A.D.A's goalkeeper Dida Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alcorcón A.D.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 57th minute Unai Roca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alcorcón A.D.A's Dida Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Alcorcón A.D.A from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mexico booed when Alcorcón A.D.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xepe Llorca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alcorcón A.D.A's goalkeeper Dida Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alcorcón A.D.A's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
