Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arlo Arruta kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Esquirla FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Swartenbroekx. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orvar Larsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Larsson having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arlo Arruta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Esquirla FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredo Bertran in the 17th minute. After taking down the ball on Esquirla FC's corner Alfredo Bertran fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orvar Larsson having to make a save. Julio Vera was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Arlo Arruta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arlo Arruta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Orvar Larsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Orvar Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orvar Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlo Arruta got free with Julio Vera in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlo Arruta, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the match Esquirla FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredo Bertran ran over to the corner to take the kick. Esquirla FC's Alfredo Bertran was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 55 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Orvar Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé van Beek to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlo Arruta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orvar Larsson made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Dedé van Beek hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlo Arruta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes Esquirla FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orvar Larsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arlo Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlo Arruta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlo Arruta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Esquirla FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
