Domingo Bulnes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 26 minutes into the match, ✪ XV de Umarizal's Adriano van Beek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Bulnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by ✪ XV de Umarizal's Adriano van Beek. But to his dismay, Adriano van Beek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Domingo Bulnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingo Bulnes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano van Beek in the 70th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Antoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ✪ XV de Umarizal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Ostrowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Adriano van Beek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Adriano van Beek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Antoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ✪ XV de Umarizal had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
