The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ademar Bulhosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gualter Moutinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Gualter Moutinho in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualter Moutinho. União Desportiva Airão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gualter Moutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Gualter Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Moutinho having to interfere. Sebastian Villa's late challenge caught a União Desportiva Airão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Villa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Villa to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Berkin Şahkar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualter Moutinho skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Bulhosa struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Desportiva Airão. Jan Örtendahl hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. União Desportiva Airão's Gualter Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute of play. Gualter Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. União Desportiva Airão's attentive Zé Prata managed to snatch the ball when Ivan Navarro made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Ademar Bulhosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Honduras walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
